Worship Ministries

Minister of Worship

Music Ministry

The purpose of the Music Ministry is to usher in the manifest presence of God through music and to assist the Pastor in leading the congregation in corporate worship.

The purpose of the Tabernacle Dance Ministry is to deliver a unique form of Praise and Worship through the ministry of dance; a ministry where the Name of Jesus is uplifted through music, movement and expression of one’s body.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry

The purpose of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry is to pray for God’s manifest presence in the sanctuary. The Ministry also prays on behalf of our Pastor & First Family and Church Leadership, Worship, Warfare and the Word.

Drama Ministry

The Drama Ministry uses dramatic stage arts to promote and present the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Bible stories, Biblical characters and Christian principles are presented by actors and actresses who see their endeavors as an act of worship. Transforming the stage into a virtual “pulpit,” the Drama Ministry strives to encourage believers, save the unsaved and edify the Kingdom of God.

Discipleship Ministries

New Members Ministry

The New Members Ministry’s assists persons seeking membership to the church. They may be transferring, returning and/or new converts to Christ. The ministry helps with arranging for baptism, new member orientation, and receiving the right hand of fellowship. New Member Orientation takes place on the second Saturday of each month from January through June. Members are contacted in advance as to time and location.

Church School Ministry

The purpose of the Church School Ministry is to carry out the Great Commission by teaching the Word of God to people of varying ages in order that souls might be saved and lives transferred through faith in Jesus Christ. Adult classes are held on Sundays from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

The Mighty Men's Ministry

The mission of the Mighty Men’s ministry is to transform the lives of the men of the Tabernacle spiritually, socially, and financially. They meet with the Pastor periodically and engage in various activities throughout the year.

Kingdom Women's Ministry

The Women’s Ministry strives for an understanding of Kingdom Order, has a Kingdom Agenda, and walks in Kingdom Authority. Women are invited to meet with the First Lady several times throughout the year.

Health and Wellness Ministry

Scripture teaches that our bodies are the temples of God. With that focus, the Health and Wellness Ministry hosts events throughout the year that highlight different aspects of properly caring for our minds, souls and bodies. Activities include exercise classes, walk-a-thons, cooking classes, group discussions, seminars, heart health awareness, and health screenings.

17 I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you,

18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

We are called to minister and witness to a deeply distressed and troubled world.

Therefore, The Evangelism Ministry of The Tabernacle is designed in making the Good News of Jesus Christ known to those who do not know it, in hopes that accept and receive the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. As well as remaining relevant and cutting-edge in its approach promoting the Vision and Life of The Tabernacle to the Faith Community at large.

Missionary Ministry

The purpose of the Missionary Ministry is to continue to serve God’s people who are in need and spread the Word of Jesus Christ. Not just to those in the Body of Christ and surrounding community but those outside the arch of safety.

Recovery Life Ministry

Minister Rebecca Desormeaux, Minister Leader

This ministry is a safe place to find life-long friendships and heal from our addictions, habits, hurts, and hang-ups. It is not a program but a ministry – a fulfilling life-style where we find wholeness, serenity and freedom – to win souls for and to Christ through Evangelism.

Savvy Seniors Fellowship Ministry

The mission of the Senior Citizen’s Fellowship Ministry is to serve the social needs and general interests of Tabernacle family members aged 60 and older.

To live purposefully, conducting ourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Christ so that we may form relationships that honor God. (Philippians 1:27) Vision: To create an atmosphere of fellowship where singles grow in the knowledge and understanding of God, and work together with one mind and purpose to bring glory to God. (Philippians 2:1-2; 1:9)

The Mission of the Courageous Couples is to grow healthy marriages for a lifetime by discovering and following God’s purpose for each marriage.

Security Ministry

“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.” Psalms 127:1 The Security Ministry of The Tabernacle is designed to facilitate a safe environment for friends, family and visitors during events or activities sponsored by the Tabernacle. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in support of the church’s Vision and values, the Security Ministry is committed to standing as “watchmen on the wall.”

Ushers

“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10 The Usher Ministries is to serve as “door keepers” for the Tabernacle of the Lord, laboring to ensure that everyone is warmly greeted and escorted to their seats. Additionally, the Usher Ministries assist the pulpit in maintaining order throughout the worship service.

Hospitality Ministry

The goal of the Hospitality Ministry is to help all who enter the Tabernacle of the Lord feel welcomed, comfortable and at home. To this end, the Hospitality Ministry is called upon to serve as hosts and hostesses for various church activities. Additional duties include greeting, escorting, and providing assistance to visitors, friends and members as they arrive on the church grounds for Tabernacle events.

Baby Dedication

The Baby Dedication Ministry labors to promote within parents, friends, immediate and extended family an awareness of the spiritual commitment and Biblical instruction to be a Godly influence in the life of our children (Proverbs 22:6).

Wedding Ministry

The Wedding Ministry is designed to assist persons who desire to be married at the Tabernacle. The goal of this ministry is to provide a well organized, smooth flowing process and a wedding ceremony that reflects the values of the church and meets the needs of the intended.
