C. Guy Robinson is a bishop, pastor, educator, musician and mental health theologian. He serves in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International as Bishop of Mental Health Awareness and as Maryland State Bishop. He also serves as Pastor of The Tabernacle of the Lord Church in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Robinson is an adjunct faculty instructor in the School of Social Work at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, specializing in critical thinking, spirituality and religion in the helping traditions. Dr. Robinson is also an adjunct faculty instructor at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, where he teaches courses in pastoral care in the Department of Religious Studies.
He has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (Piano) from Morgan State University, a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Psychology and Family Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He also studied Pastoral Counseling at Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Robinson has conducted extensive research and workshops in mental health theology formation, biblical counseling and paradigms for healthy partnerships between pastoral and mental health professionals. Dr. Robinson is the author of Critical Collaboration: Pastors and Mental Health Professionals as Partners in Care, and the co-host of Spirit in Mind, a weekly podcast featuring theological and mental health perspectives on current affairs. Dr. Robinson and his wife Sandra are the parents of four children and reside in Baltimore, Maryland.
